Accuracy & Methodology
Awakened Light is built on precise astronomical calculations.
Most users simply want clear insight and guidance.
For those who prefer technical transparency or wish to independently validate planetary positions, this page explains exactly how chart data is calculated and provides a verification tool.
You do not need to use this section to receive accurate readings — it exists for structural clarity and trust.
- Planetary positions are calculated deterministically using astronomy-engine (v2.1.19).
- Calculations are based on NASA JPL DE datasets.
- All astronomical math is computed locally in-engine — no external API calls for positions.
- No LLM or AI is used for planetary calculations.
- AI is used only for interpretation and guidance generation.
- Time is converted to UTC before any astronomical computation.
- Tropical zodiac is the default system.
- Lahiri sidereal calculations are available where applicable.
- House system: Whole Sign (current implementation).
- Cross-validated against Swiss Ephemeris (Astro-Seek) with sub-arcminute accuracy.
Enter the same date, time, location, and timezone used in your chart.
The tool will display:
- The exact UTC timestamp used for calculations
- The engine version
- The tropical planetary positions
For external comparison (e.g., Astro-Seek or Swiss Ephemeris tools): use the displayed UTC timestamp when validating planetary positions to ensure an apples-to-apples comparison.
Run a quick audit to verify planetary positions against the engine output.
This section is provided to support transparency and technical validation.
